AutoCAD Line Command: A Step-by-Step Guide

Enabling Ortho Mode — AutoCAD

  1. Click on the Line icon in the Draw Toolbar to initiate the Line command.
  2. Specify the first point by picking any point on your screen with the mouse.
  3. Move the cursor to the right without clicking down.
  4. Type ’20’ and press Enter.
  5. Move the cursor to the left without clicking down.
  6. Type ’20’ and press Enter.

  1. Click on the Line icon again to restart the Line command.
  2. Specify the first point by picking any point on your screen with the mouse.
  3. Move the cursor to the right without clicking down.
  4. Type ’30’ and press Enter.
  5. Press F8 to turn off Ortho mode.
  6. Specify the next point by picking another point with your mouse.
